In this video, Sophia talks about how to harness the power of neuroplasticity to make sustainable changes in our lives. Sophia reviews basic nervous system anatomy, like the neuron and what neuronetworks are, then dives deeper in to neuroplasticity.

She defines neuroplasticity, discusses four different types of neuroplasticity, gives insight into why some habits are harder to break than others and why some changes are harder to make than others, and finishes off by diving deeper into chemical physiology of neuroplasticity, how sleep, diet, movement and stress effect neuroplasticity and what you can you do to encourage neuroplasticity in your body through a discussion of the ten principles of neuroplasticity.

Sophia Bouwens, L.Ac, is a Neurological Acupuncturist and Traumatic Brain Injury survivor who is on a mission to help others heal and empower their nervous system and bodies.
