We made a custom PLAYLIST on Spotify to enjoy with this class…

This sweet and gentle practice incorporates inner child work into long held poses to shift us out of a higher brainwave frequency state (called beta), and into slower frequencies alpha and theta. Doing so will allow you to start the process of releasing long held limiting belief systems that no longer serve you.

Postures include a shoulder tension pose, twists to detoxify, and a deep forward fold for contemplation. There is no savasana at the end of this practice, but feel free to pause and take your own, or continue after the video ends!

2) In what ways am I showing up at the person I needed when I was younger?

3) How can I incorporate a new daily creative practice into my life? (maybe drawing a picture, singing in the shower or car, joining a choir, cooking a new recipe, or going to a dance class!)

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Maya Elena is a songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and a 200hr Yoga Teacher.She completed her training at Soul of Yoga in Encinitas, CA. Maya has shared her songs around the country, and is now incorporating them into yoga practices. Concepts she enjoys incorporating into yoga practices are existentialism, philosophy, mythology, self-care, self-compassion and body positivity!
