Class begins with Natural Breath Awareness with an emphasis on belly breathing to activate the parasympathetic nervous system via the vagus nerve. Students are asked to write down one current challenge hat is present in life, and then guide the body into intuitive spinal movements and rest in Child’s Pose. Moving through the Pawanmuktasana (joint- centered movement) series, students are invited to allow the rhythm of the full natural breath to be the central focus. Class closes with thepractice of Yoga Nidra and a journaling prompt to transform stress into eustress.

(3:15-13:00) Belly breathing focused Natural Breath Awareness (

13:00-17:00) Intuitive spinal movements & Child’s Pose

(17:00-41:00)  Pawanmuktasana movements & Crocodile Pose

(41:00-1:04:30) Yoga Nidra

Reflection Questions

1) Towards the start of class, students are prompted to write down one challenge that is presenting itself in life.

2) At the end of class, students are prompted with: “Within this challenge, I can let go of…”

Finding where we can release within our stresses can allow our stress to transform into eustress: something that is beneficial and empowering to our growth.

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Meg encourages students to practice intuitive listening of the body, mind, and heart, oftentimes through natural breath awareness  She specializes in yoga nidra, which provides students with the opportunity for deep rest and relaxation of both the conscious and subconscious layers.  After teaching yoga since 2014, Meg is consistently humbled to hold space for the deep soul work of practicing presence.
